Equine America So-Kalm Solution – 1 litre
So-Kalm Solution is the only calmer in the Equine America range built around chastetree extract, at 1g per 30ml dose alongside 1g of L-tryptophan, 300mg of vitamin B1 and 150mg of magnesium. That combination, and the liquid format, is what separates it from the Super So-Kalm powder and paste.
Moisture is declared at 91.7% and sugar at just 1.2%, so it pours easily and adds almost nothing to the ration. A litre is a 33-day supply at the standard 30ml dose, with a second 30ml permitted two hours before an event when something extra is wanted.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Chastetree extract at 1g per 30ml dose, unique to this product in the Equine America calming range.
- L-tryptophan at 1g and vitamin B1 at 300mg per dose.
- Magnesium at 150mg per dose, from magnesium sulphate.
- Sugar declared at 1.2% and moisture at 91.7%, so it adds almost nothing to the feed.
- A second 30ml dose may be given two hours before an event.
- Ingredients selected for compliance with the Rules of Racing and FEI clean sport guidelines; BETA NOPS and UFAS accredited.
Suitable For
- Horses that are nervous or unsettled in unfamiliar surroundings.
- Horses on a steady daily programme rather than one-off event-day support.
- Fussy feeders and horses on soaked feeds, where a liquid mixes in better than a powder.
- Horses where a low-sugar, low-volume supplement is wanted.
- Not suitable for breeding stock without veterinary advice — for those, Equine America's Super So-Kalm Powder carries no chastetree.
Feeding
- For a 500kg horse: 30ml per day. A further 30ml may be given two hours before an event.
- Maximum 60ml per day.
- Introduce gradually and feed for at least seven days before a stressful activity.
- A 1 litre bottle is a 33-day supply at the standard rate.
- Equine America code 232-UK.

Care & Caution
- Equine America state that this product should not be fed to pregnant or lactating mares, or to breeding stallions, without veterinary advice.
- Chastetree is also used in Cushing's management. If your horse is on veterinary treatment, tell your vet before starting it.
- A calmer does not fix pain or a badly fitting saddle. Rule those out before assuming the problem is temperament.
