Gor Pets Nordic Oval Cushion – 24in, Grey

The 24in is the second size in the Nordic Oval Cushion range, published by Gor Pets at 58 × 43cm. It is the size that suits a small-to-medium dog properly: enough oval to curl into, not so much that it swamps the corner of a kitchen.

Both faces are usable — faux fur for warmth, suedette for a cooler, smoother surface — and the blown fibre filling comes out through an internal zip so the cover can go through a 40°C wash on its own.

How to Use

• Put the faux fur face up in cold weather and the suedette face up when a smoother, cooler surface is wanted.
• Drop it into a wicker or plastic bed base, or lay it straight on the floor in a favourite corner.
• Open the internal zip and pull the blown fibre filling out before washing. Keep the filling dry.
• Machine wash the cover at 40°C, dry it fully, then refeed the filling through the zip and redistribute it by hand.
• Plump it up by hand every few weeks; blown fibre flattens where a dog lies in the same spot.
