Muscle & Topline is GWF's muscle supplement, given as a small measured dose twice or three times a day rather than as a feed. GWF count 38 active nutraceuticals in it and build the protein from maize gluten meal, Hipro soya, whey protein concentrate and linseed, which gives 41.3% crude protein in the pouch.

The interesting part is what is loaded on top of that protein: 150g of lysine per kilo, 32g of methionine, and the branched-chain amino acids leucine at 14g and isoleucine at 5g. Rosemary extract at 0.5% is in there for circulation and palatability, and hyaluronic acid at 0.1%.

Feeding

• Ponies: 1 heaped measure (25g) twice daily. Horses: 2 heaped measures (50g) twice daily.
• Seniors and horses in recovery: three feeds a day rather than two, at the same measure.
• Hard and extreme work: an extra 50g after work on competition days.
• A 3kg pouch is about a month at the standard horse rate.
• Fresh water at all times.
