GWF Nutrition Immune Aid Gold for Dogs – 500g

Immune Aid is GWF's turmeric-led daily supplement for dogs, a 2mm pellet carrying turmeric extract at 5g per kilo alongside rosehips, nettle, rosemary, blackcurrant pulp and black pepper seed. GWF count 23 active nutraceuticals in it and describe it as support for the dog's natural defences rather than as a treatment for anything.

The pack we stock carries the Immune Aid Gold name; GWF now list the same 500g product simply as Immune Aid for Dogs. The black pepper is there deliberately — piperine is included because curcumin on its own is poorly absorbed, and GWF pair it with their Oatinol oil carrier for the same reason.

Performance & Benefits
  • Turmeric extract at 5g per kg, with black pepper seeds at 0.05% to aid curcumin uptake.
  • Rosehips at 1.3% plus added vitamin C at 3,500mg per kg — a substantial antioxidant load.
  • 23 active nutraceuticals, including nettle, rosemary at 1.3%, seaweed meal, yucca and dried blackcurrant fruit pulp.
  • Omega 3 fatty acids at 2.1%, with vegetable oils including 2.5% Oatinol as the delivery system.
  • Fructo-oligosaccharides and yeast products included as prebiotic support.
  • 2mm pellets in a 500g minimum-waste pouch.
<>
Suitable For
  • Adult dogs of any breed or size, fed daily and long term.
  • Older dogs, and dogs recovering from a period of illness or hard work.
  • Owners who want turmeric fed in a formulated pellet rather than mixed loose into food.
  • Dogs on a complete food — this is a complementary feed, not a ration.
  • Dogs only. GWF make a separate Immune Aid for Horses in a 3kg pouch; note that GWF's Immune Aid formulations contain hemp seed husks, which carry trace THC, so the equine version is not FEI-compliant and GWF specify a two-day withdrawal before competition.
<>
Feeding
  • Mix with the normal feed once daily. One measure is 10g.
  • Dogs up to 15kg: a quarter to half a measure daily.
  • Dogs 16–30kg: half to one measure daily.
  • Dogs 31–45kg: one to two measures daily.
  • Dogs over 45kg: two to three measures daily.

  • Analytical constituents: crude protein 16.6%, crude fat 7.2%, crude fibre 12.7%, crude ash 11.9%, omega 3 fatty acids 2.1%, calcium 2.4%, starch 10.4%, sugar 6.8%.
  • Additives per kg: turmeric extract 5g, vitamin C 3,500mg, vitamin E 1,000mg, vitamin D3 20,000 iu, L-glutamic acid 1.2g, beta-carotene 60mg, biotin 20mg, selenium 0.8mg.
  • 500g pouch of 2mm pellets. Figures are GWF's own for the 500g Immune Aid for Dogs.
<>
Care & Caution
  • Contains added selenium at 0.8mg per kg and vitamin D3 at 20,000 iu per kg. Check the combined intake before feeding it alongside another vitamin or mineral supplement, as both accumulate.
  • Turmeric is not neutral: talk to your vet before feeding it to a dog on anticoagulants, or in the run-up to surgery.
  • Store closed and out of the dog's reach — a dog that gets into the pouch would take a very large dose of the added vitamins and selenium.
