Henry Bell Heavy Duty 3 in 1 Squirrel Proof Feeder – Black

The same three-in-one idea in heavier metal and a black finish: a seed tube, a fat ball cage and a peanut mesh, all inside one protective outer cage. Black disappears against a hedge or a dark fence in a way the brushed silver version does not, and for a lot of gardens that is the deciding factor.

Four ring perches are set around the seed feeder so small birds can stand rather than hover, and the base tray is drilled so rain runs out instead of turning the bottom inch of seed into a solid plug. Those two details are what separate it from the standard model.

Performance & Benefits
  • Three separate feeders — seed, fat balls and peanuts — inside one cage.
  • Heavy duty metal construction with a black finish.
  • Sturdy outer cage to deter squirrels and larger birds.
  • Four ring perches on the seed feeder.
  • Drainage holes in the base tray, so feed does not sit in standing water.
  • Removable top lid for filling, and a large hanging hook.
<>
Suitable For
  • Blue tits, great tits, robins, nuthatches, house sparrows and dunnocks.
  • Gardens with a persistent squirrel problem.
  • Feeding stations with a strong arm, since it is heavy when full.
  • Anyone who would rather the feeder was not the first thing they see out of the window.
  • Not for suet cakes or suet logs. The Henry Bell Heritage Suet Cake Feeder and the Insect Oil Log Feeder cover those.
<>
How to Use
  • Remove the top lid, fill the three chambers separately and replace it.
  • Hang from a feeding station arm or branch, a good couple of metres from anything a squirrel can launch off.
  • Strip it down and wash every two to three weeks with a bird-safe hygiene spray.
  • Check the drainage holes are clear each time you refill.
  • Dry it fully before refilling.
