Henry Bell Heritage Everyday Fat Ball Feeder
The Heritage Everyday feeders are the value tier of Henry Bell's Heritage collection: aluminium bodies in the same antique gold and bronze finish as the full-size Heritage range, in a smaller, plainer form. If you like the way the Heritage feeders look on a station but do not want to pay full-range money for every position, this is the line that fills the gaps.
This one takes fat balls. Aluminium keeps it light and stops it rusting where a plated steel feeder would streak, and Henry Bell build the range around being easy to fill, clean and maintain — which in practice is the difference between a feeder that gets scrubbed weekly and one that does not.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Aluminium body, so it stays light and does not rust in a wet winter.
- Antique gold and bronze finish, matching the rest of the Henry Bell Heritage collection.
- Built to be easy to fill, clean and maintain.
- Hangs from a feeding station, a bird table or a simple hook on a branch.
- Heritage looks at the Everyday price, so a station can be kitted out in one finish.
Suitable For
- Fat balls and suet balls.
- Blue tits, great tits, coal tits, long-tailed tits, starlings, robins and house sparrows.
- Feeding stations already carrying Heritage feeders, where a matching finish is wanted.
- Year-round feeding, indoors of a hedge or out on an open station.
- Not the feeder for loose seed, hearts or peanuts — the Heritage Everyday Seed, Sunflower and Peanut feeders cover those.
How to Use
- Open the lid, load the fat balls and close it before hanging.
- Hang from a feeding station arm, a bird table or a hook on a tree branch.
- Site it within a few metres of cover so birds have somewhere to retreat to.
- Empty out crumbs and wash weekly in warm water with a bird-safe hygiene product.
- Dry it fully before refilling; damp fat balls go mouldy quickly.
Specification
- Aluminium, finished in Henry Bell's antique gold and bronze. Henry Bell product code H040092.
- Part of the Heritage Everyday range, described by Henry Bell as durable and hardwearing.
- Sized for Henry Bell fat balls, which they give as 80g each.
- Henry Bell publish no height, diameter or ball capacity for the Heritage Everyday feeders, so none is stated here. Their full-size Heritage Fat Ball Feeder is 32cm and holds five balls, and is a separate, larger product.
- The Heritage Everyday range also includes seed, peanut, sunflower, finch and mealworm/suet bite feeders and a ground feeder.
