Henry Bell Heritage Everyday Seed Feeder
A seed feeder is the first thing most gardens put up and the last thing they take down, because a good mix draws the widest range of species of anything you can hang. This is the Heritage Everyday version: an aluminium tube in Henry Bell's antique gold and bronze, sitting below the full Heritage feeder in size and price but built the same way.
Aluminium is the sensible material for a feeder that lives outdoors all year — light to lift down, and it does not rust or streak the way a plated steel tube does after two winters. Henry Bell design the range around being easy to fill, clean and maintain, which is what determines whether a feeder is still in use in three years.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Takes any seed mix, and sunflower seed as well.
- Aluminium body — light, and it will not rust through a wet British winter.
- Antique gold and bronze finish, matching the wider Heritage collection.
- Easy to fill, clean and maintain.
- A mixed seed draws a broader species list than any single straight seed.
- Hangs from a feeding station, a bird table or a hook on a branch.
Suitable For
- Henry Bell seed mixes and sunflower seed.
- House sparrows, greenfinches, chaffinches, goldfinches, blue tits, great tits and coal tits.
- Feeding stations being kitted out in a single finish.
- Year-round feeding as the main seed point in a garden.
- Not suitable for whole peanuts, which need mesh — the Heritage Everyday Peanut Feeder is the one for those.
How to Use
- Open the lid and pour seed in carefully; a funnel or a jug saves spillage.
- Hang from a feeding station arm, a bird table or a branch, near enough to cover for birds to bolt into.
- Keep the fill shallow in wet weather and top up more often, so seed at the bottom does not cake.
- Clean weekly in warm water with a bird-safe hygiene product, then dry fully before refilling.
- Sweep or move the feeder occasionally — a mixed seed drops husks underneath.
Specification
- Aluminium seed feeder finished in antique gold and bronze. Henry Bell product code H040090.
- Suitable for seed mixes and sunflower seed.
- Henry Bell publish no height, port count or seed capacity for the Heritage Everyday feeders, so none is stated here.
