Henry Bell No Grow Mix – 4kg

Four kilos is the middle size, and on a garden running one or two feeders it tends to last about a month. What separates No Grow from an ordinary mix is not what goes into it but what has been done to it: the maize is kibbled, the wheat cut, the sunflower chipped and the oatmeal milled to pinhead, and none of that can sprout.

Suet pellets and soya oil push crude fat to 26.24%, which is high for a general mix and part of why it goes down faster than a plain seed blend. The peanut granules do the same job as whole peanuts without needing a mesh feeder to make them safe.

Feeding

• Use in a tube feeder, on a bird table or scattered on the ground.
• Refill regularly and keep to a routine once you have started.
• Empty and clean the feeder rather than topping up over old feed.
• Clean with a bird-safe hygiene spray, and remove wet or stale food promptly.
• Provide fresh, clean water at all times.
