Hilight Horse and Pony Mix – 20kg

Hilight Horse and Pony Mix is the coarse-mix equivalent of the Hi Fibre cubes, in a 20kg sack. Ponies in particular are often more willing with a mix than a pellet, and where the daily ration is small — a handful to carry a supplement, or a token feed at night — palatability matters more than anything else on the label.

Hilight is a merchant brand sold through farm and country stores and runs no product website of its own. We have not reproduced the oil, protein and vitamin figures that circulate on merchant listings, because there is no manufacturer source to check them against. Feeding

• Introduce over about a week, overlapping with the previous feed.
• Feed to bodyweight, condition and workload rather than to a fixed scoop.
• Keep forage as the main part of the diet.
• Divide anything more than a small ration across two feeds.
• No feeding rate is published online by Hilight; follow the rate on the sack.
• Fresh clean water at all times.
