Horslyx Mint Mini Licks – 12 x 650g

A case of twelve peppermint minis. At Horslyx's three-days-a-tub reckoning that is roughly thirty-six horse-days, which is the point at which buying singles stops making sense — most people move to the case once mint has proved to be the flavour their horse will take.

Each tub is Original Balancer with peppermint oil: same 6.5% protein, same 23% ash, same vitamin and trace element additives, with flavouring compounds declared at 1,000mg per kg. Twelve of them cover a season of rewards, farrier visits and lorry journeys without opening a 5kg tub each time.

Performance & Benefits
  • Twelve hand-held 650g tubs of Mint Balancer, roughly three days each.
  • Peppermint oil in the composition, flavouring compounds at 1,000mg per kg.
  • Analysis identical to Original Balancer — the mint costs nothing in specification.
  • Keeps a spare in the lorry, the tack room and the trailer without decanting anything.
  • Full Horslyx vitamin and trace element package in every tub.
  • No artificial colours or preservatives.
<>
Suitable For
  • Yards that get through minis as rewards and distractions.
  • Horses that reliably prefer mint to garlic or plain.
  • Clipping, loading, farrier and veterinary work.
  • Stretching exercises across several horses.
  • For continuous feeding to one horse, Horslyx Mint Balancer 5kg is cheaper per kilo than a case of minis.
<>
Feeding
  • Horslyx give an expected intake of 250g a day for a 500kg horse, 200g for a 300kg pony and 300g for a 700kg horse.
  • A 650g mini is roughly three days for one horse, so twelve run to about thirty-six horse-days.
  • Open one tub at a time; the rest keep sealed.
  • Introduce it slowly and monitor the intake rate; Horslyx note that consumption usually falls once a horse has got used to having a lick available.
  • Feed alongside forage and fresh water.
