The 15kg is the long-run Respiratory tub — roughly sixty days for one 500kg horse, which covers a winter in two tubs rather than six. It suits a horse on full livery or a small group turned out together, and it is built to sit in the 15kg Horslyx Holder rather than on a stable floor.

The formulation is the airway one, and it is the most fortified in the range: vitamin E and vitamin C both declared at 3,000mg per kg, with pure menthol granules, eucalyptus oil and aniseed oil in the composition. Respiratory is made in 650g, 5kg and 15kg only — there is no 40kg or 80kg version.

Feeding

• Horslyx give an expected intake of 250g a day for a 500kg horse, 200g for a 300kg pony and 300g for a 700kg horse.
• A 15kg tub is roughly sixty days for one 500kg horse, less across a group.

Care & Caution

• Horslyx state that their Balancers are suitable for horses and ponies susceptible to or suffering from laminitis, introduced gradually with no more than ten minutes' access at first.
