KM Elite Double Braided Cotton Lead Rope – 7ft, Hot Green

Hot green is the loudest colour in KM Elite's cotton double braid range, and on a dark horse or a grey winter morning it is the rope you can find on the tack room hook without hunting for it. Underneath the colour it is the standard 7ft (2.13m) round cotton lead, tightly double braided.

Round braid matters more than it sounds. It keeps the rope soft against the palm and stops an edge biting in when a horse throws its head. The brass plated swivel bolt snap turns freely under load, so the rope does not corkscrew where it meets the headcollar ring.

How to Use

• Clip the swivel bolt snap to the back ring of the headcollar, under the jaw.
• Lead with your hand about 30cm below the clip and the spare rope folded flat in the other hand.
• Wash in warm water with a mild detergent; a bright colour shows dirt sooner than a navy.
• Hang by the clip to dry through before storing.
