KM Elite Padded Headcollar – Baby Blue, Medium (Cob)

The KM Elite Padded Headcollar is built up from double- and triple-weave lined nylon webbing, with soft padding across the headpiece and the noseband. In baby blue and Medium — which is KM Elite's Cob fitting — it is a smart, everyday headcollar rather than a plain navy stable-yard workhorse.

The padding is the reason people buy it. A thin nylon headcollar bears on the nose and behind the ears; the lined and padded version spreads that load, which matters on a horse that leans back on the rope or stands tied for long periods at a show. Clips and hardware are brass-coloured throughout.

How to Use

• Fit the noseband roughly two fingers' width below the cheekbone, with room for two fingers between the noseband and the nose.
• Adjust the headpiece so the throat lash sits behind the cheek without pressing on it.
• Hand wash in warm water and air dry naturally. KM Elite say not to tumble dry it, which would spoil the padding and the hardware finish.
• Hang it by the headpiece rather than the noseband so it keeps its shape.
