KM Elite Poly Lead Rope – Hunter Green, 6ft

Six feet of poly rope with an oversized brass snap, and no cotton anywhere in it. That is deliberate: KM Elite rate the poly at ten times the strength of an average cotton lead rope, and it dries in a fraction of the time after a wet turnout.

Hunter Green is the traditional dark green of the range, not the fluorescent one. It is the colour that goes with green rugs, green stable doors and a hedge behind them, and like the other darks it is forgiving about mud between washes.

How to Use

• Clip the brass snap to the ring under the jaw of the headcollar, with the spring facing away from the horse.
• Lead from the near side with the slack folded across your palm — never coiled around your hand.
• Tie with a quick-release knot to a loop of breakable baler twine, never straight to a solid ring.
• Wipe with warm water and hang to dry; the poly sheds most mud without washing.

Care & Caution

• Poly this strong does not give way under load. Never tie a horse directly to a solid ring, post or trailer — always tie to a loop of breakable twine so something can part before the horse does.
• Never wrap the rope around your hand, wrist or waist. A horse that pulls back can burn or trap a hand in a coiled rope in an instant.
• Retire the rope if the core shows through the outer braid, or if the snap spring weakens or sticks.
