KM Elite Ultimate Natural Horse & Pony Treats with Coconut & Flaxseed 4kg
KM Elite Ultimate Treats – 4kg
KM Elite's Ultimate Treats are a milled, extruded treat rather than a baked biscuit, built on wheatfeed, oatfeed, grass nuts and wheat with micronized linseed meal and coconut oil worked through. The linseed and coconut are what give them their character — a soft coconut smell that most horses take to on the first offer — and they carry the omega fatty acids linseed is fed for.
A herb blend of oregano, sage, garlic, mint, parsley and marjoram rounds them out. They come in a 4kg resealable bag, which is a great deal of treat: at a small handful a day it will last months rather than weeks, so the reseal matters more than it does on a 1kg pack. KM Elite make them in the UK and state that no GM materials are used.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Coconut oil and micronized linseed meal supply omega fatty acids alongside the reward.
- Coconut flavour and a six-herb blend, which most horses take to without persuasion.
- Small enough to feed from the hand or drop in a feed bucket for a stubborn dose.
- 4kg resealable bag, so the last handful is as fresh as the first.
- Made in the UK from ingredients KM Elite state are 100% natural, with no GM materials.
Suitable For
- Rewarding and training horses and ponies alongside a balanced diet.
- Catching a horse in from the field, and loading practice.
- Disguising a powder or a paste in a small feed.
- Yards that get through a lot of treats and want a bulk bag rather than repeat 1kg packs.
- Not a good choice for a laminitic, EMS or insulin-resistant horse — 5.7% sugar and 14.7% starch, with molasses in the mix, make this the wrong treat for that horse.
Feeding
- Feed by hand or in the bucket as a reward or training aid, in moderation and alongside a balanced diet.
- KM Elite publish no gram-per-day feeding rate for these treats, so none is stated here — treat them as an addition to the ration, not a part of it.
- Where a horse is on a weighed ration, reduce the normal feed to allow for what is given as treats.
- Pack size 4kg. At a 100g handful a day that is around 40 days; at a few treats a day it will last a great deal longer.
- Keep fresh drinking water available at all times, and reseal the bag after each use.

- Supplied in a 4kg resealable bag. KM Elite do not state a BETA NOPS accreditation for these treats, so none is claimed here.
Care & Caution
- Do not feed to sheep. This is KM Elite's own instruction and it is on the bag.
- These treats contain garlic. Garlic is restricted or prohibited under some competition rules — check the current rulebook for your discipline before feeding to a horse in competition.
- At 5.7% sugar and 14.7% starch with molasses included, they are not suitable for laminitic, EMS or insulin-resistant horses.
- Treats are a supplement to the diet, not a replacement for forage or hard feed. Fed in quantity they will unbalance a carefully weighed ration.
- Introduce gradually to a horse that has not had them before, and stop if the droppings loosen.
