KONG Easy Treat Peanut Butter – 225g

Peanut butter is the flavour most dogs will work hardest for, and this is KONG's version of it in a sprayable 225g (8oz) can. KONG declare it at 3000 kcal per kilogram, with crude fat at a minimum of 20% — rich stuff, which is exactly why it holds a dog's attention on a stuffed toy.

The can is one of two sizes KONG make, the other being 14oz. Made in the USA, it needs no refrigeration, and the nozzle lets you line the inside of a rubber toy, layer it between kibble, or cap the opening so the whole lot has to be licked out.

Suitable For

• Hiding tablets, where your vet has confirmed the medicine may be given with food.
• Not suitable for a dog on a fat-restricted diet, or one that reacts to dairy — milk and whey are the first two ingredients.

Feeding

• Shake well. Hold the toy opening upwards, insert the nozzle and press.
• Feed as a treat in addition to a complete diet, and reduce meals to account for it.
• KONG state 3000 kilocalories per kilogram; a 5g teaspoon is therefore about 15 kcal.
• Stuff and freeze for at least four hours where a longer-lasting job is wanted.
• Fresh drinking water should always be available.

• KONG's declared ingredients: milk, water, whey, soybean oil, modified corn starch, dextrose, maltodextrin, sodium phosphate, salt, peanut flour, lactic acid, natural flavour, sorbic acid (preservative), sodium alginate, caramel colour, annatto extract (colour), dried Lactobacillus lactis fermentation product, rennet.
• KONG's guaranteed analysis: crude protein (min) 4%, crude fat (min) 20%, crude fibre (max) 1%, moisture (max) 53%, ash (max) 6%.
• Caloric content 3000 kcal/kg.
