The Small/Medium Wild Knots bear is the middle of KONG's three sizes and covers dogs up to 35 lb, or about 16kg. It is the size most spaniels, terriers and small crossbreeds can actually pick up and run with, which matters more with a knotted toy than it does with a flat one — a bear too heavy to lift never gets carried.

Construction is the same as the rest of the range: a knotted rope skeleton inside a reinforced plush cover, almost no stuffing, and a squeaker. This is the festive run, so the characters are seasonal and assorted; KONG allocate them at random rather than by choice.

Care & Caution

• Plush over rope is a soft toy, not a chew. Retire it as soon as a seam opens.
