KONG Wild Knots Bear – Medium/Large

A plush bear with a knotted rope skeleton running right through it, 23.5 × 25.4cm across the body, 8.9cm deep and 172g. The rope is what a dog actually works on; the plush is what makes the toy quiet indoors and comfortable to carry about afterwards.

This is KONG's Medium/Large, their band for dogs of about 30–65lb (14–29kg). They declare it as 70% polyester, 28% cotton and 2% plastic squeaker, with minimal stuffing so a split seam leaves far less on the carpet than a conventional soft toy. Earlier figures of 26 × 21 × 10cm on this page were not KONG's; theirs are used above.

How to Use

• Throw it indoors without breaking anything, which a rubber toy will not manage.
• Spot clean or hand wash, then dry fully — the rope core takes a while.
• Check the seams and the squeaker over weekly.
