Leovet FrogAde with Brush – 200ml

FrogAde is Leovet's everyday frog and sole care, supplied in a brush-on pack so the brush lives in the cap and the liquid goes exactly where you put it. Leovet are specific about what it does: it removes rotted horn tissue, stimulates circulation in the frog and sole, and protects against further deterioration.

Used regularly it is preventive rather than remedial, and that is the difference between this and Leovet's FrogMedic spray. The brush lets you massage the frog and sole while you apply, so a foot gets a proper minute of attention rather than a quick squirt — and on a horse living out through a wet winter, that minute is usually what keeps the grooves clean.

Performance & Benefits
  • Brush built into the cap, so application is precise and there is no separate applicator to lose.
  • Leovet state it removes rotted horn tissue from the frog.
  • Stimulates circulation in the frog and the sole as it is massaged in.
  • Protects frog and sole against further deterioration.
  • Preventive when used regularly, which is what suits it to winter routine.
<>
Suitable For
  • Routine, preventive frog and sole care through the wet months.
  • Horses on deep bedding or standing in mud.
  • Owners who would rather work a product in than spray it on.
  • Feet where the grooves need attention but there is no acute breakdown.
  • Not concentrated enough for an acute, foul-smelling frog — Leovet's FrogMedic spray is the one made for that.
<>
How to Use
  • Pick out and brush the frog and sole clean and dry.
  • Brush the liquid into the central and collateral grooves and over the frog and sole.
  • Massage it in with the brush rather than simply painting it on.
  • Apply regularly as part of the daily pick-out through wet weather.
  • Wipe the brush and close the cap firmly so the bristles do not dry hard.
<>
Specification
  • 200ml bottle with an integral brush in the cap.
  • Leovet publish no ingredient list and no active-substance percentages for FrogAde, so none is stated here.
  • Sold by Leovet as FrogAde; the German name on the pack is Strahlsan.
  • Part of Leovet's Healthy Hooves range alongside FrogMedic, Hoof Oil, Hoof Hardener and Hydro Hoof Gel.
  • Leovet publish their doping-relevance classification as a separate FN/ADMR list rather than on the product page, so no competition status is claimed here.
<>
Care & Caution
  • Keep out of the eyes and off the coronet band.
  • Do not brush it into a wound or onto raw tissue.
  • Wear gloves if your skin reacts to essential oils.
  • Read the hazard statements printed on the bottle before first use.
  • A foul-smelling, deeply undermined frog, or a horse that has gone lame, needs a farrier or a vet as well as a hoof product.
