Nettex Fly Repellent Advanced – 500ml

Advanced is the strongest of the Nettex fly repellents and the one to reach for when the challenge is genuinely bad — river fields, cattle nearby, standing water, or the fortnight in high summer when nothing else is holding. It works on DEET together with p-menthane-3,8-diol, and Nettex blend moisturisers, conditioners and natural extracts in alongside them.

It repels flies, stable flies and biting insects. Nettex make it in 500ml trigger spray and in a 2 litre refill for yards going through it quickly. The one thing to know before the first use is that DEET warrants a patch test 48 hours ahead, particularly on a thin-skinned or sensitive horse.

Suitable For

• Not for use under a saddle, fly rug or fly mask — Nettex advise against it, and a thin-skinned or previously reactive horse should have a patch test first.

How to Use

• Patch test 48 hours before the first application, especially on a sensitive horse or if you have not used a DEET product on it before.
• Apply early in the morning, before turnout, for the best result.
• Spray evenly over the coat without saturating it.
• For a horse that dislikes the spray, apply to a cloth or sponge and wipe on.
• Re-apply more frequently during heavy infestations.

Care & Caution
