Quick Fix is the concentrated probiotic syringe, the one that lives in the lorry rather than the feed room. Protexin build it to re-establish gut microflora quickly when something has knocked it sideways: travelling, worming, a course of antibiotics, a long competition weekend.

The live yeast is Saccharomyces cerevisiae at 2 x 10¹² CFU per kilogram, twice the concentration carried in the daily Gut Balancer powder, in a base of soya oil and dextrose with Preplex prebiotic. Dosing is 5ml a day in normal use and 10ml a day through a stressful spell, from a 30ml syringe.

Feeding
