Sweet Oil is Red Horse's skin moisturiser for the crest and tailhead — the places a horse rubs raw through the mild months. Red Horse describe it as relieving irritation and helping horses stay itch free, and build it around sweet almond oil with an essential oil blend and what they call technical ingredients.

The idea behind it is duration rather than instant relief. It is formulated for all-day moisturisation, so the skin stays comfortable long enough for the horse to lose the urge to rub and for hair to come back where it has been rubbed away.

How to Use

• Shake before each use.
• Spot check on a small area of skin first, and do not use it if a reaction shows.
• Rub well into the base of the mane, the tailhead and other exposed skin.
• Reapply as required.
