Roundup GC Liquid Concentrate Weedkiller – 140ml + 50% Extra Free

A glyphosate concentrate you dilute yourself, which works out far cheaper per treated square metre than a ready-mixed trigger bottle. This is the 140ml pack with 50% extra free, so there is 210ml in the bottle.

Glyphosate is systemic: it moves down into the root, so perennial weeds such as couch grass, bindweed and nettle are killed rather than burnt back. That also means patience — visible dieback takes two to four weeks.

<>
Performance & Benefits
  • Contains 120 g/L glyphosate acid, present as 162 g/L isopropylamine salt.
  • Systemic action travels to the root, so perennial weeds are killed outright rather than scorched.
  • A concentrate goes a long way: Evergreen’s figure for their 540ml pack is up to 540m².
  • Dilute to suit the kit — 20ml per litre in a sprayer, or 20ml per 5 litres in a watering can.
  • It breaks down in the soil, so treated ground can be replanted rather than left fallow.
<>
Suitable For
  • Paths, drives, gravel, fence lines and the base of walls.
  • Clearing weedy ground before planting vegetables, flowers or shrubs.
  • Established perennial weeds — couch grass, nettle, dock, bindweed.
  • Anyone who already owns a pressure sprayer or a dribble bar.
  • It kills any green plant it touches, so it is no use for weeds growing through a lawn or a border. For a ready-mixed spot treatment the Roundup Total Ready-to-Use Weedkiller is simpler.
<>
How to Use
  • Sprayer: 20ml of concentrate per 1 litre of water. Watering can with a dribble bar: 20ml per 5 litres.
  • Apply in warm, dry, settled weather to weeds that are actively growing, wetting the leaves without run-off.
  • Expect visible effects over 2 to 4 weeks.
  • Where only annual weeds were present, the ground can be dug or replanted the next day. Where there was dense perennial cover, leave at least 7 days.
  • Rain within 6 hours of spraying reduces the effect and may mean spraying again.

Care & Caution
  • Keep off skin, do not breathe the spray, and wash off splashes immediately. Wash hands and exposed skin after use.
  • Keep children and pets out of treated areas until the spray has dried.
  • This is a total weedkiller and it kills grass. Keep it off paddocks, lawns and anywhere stock graze, and do not spray on a windy day where drift can reach grazing.
  • Do not contaminate water with the product or its container. Keep it away from ponds, ditches and drains.
  • Store it closed in the original container, out of reach of children, and never decant it into anything else.
