Saracen Level-Grow Cubes Winter Formula – 20kg

Level-Grow™ Cubes Winter Formula use a blend of ingredients that provide alternative energy sources producing a minimal glycaemic response after digestion. After weaning, Level-Grow can be the sole concentrate given to young, growing horses up to the age of three, promoting normal growth patterns and more manageable behaviour through the colder months.

Because the glycaemic response is affected by how a feed is formulated, using oil and fibre as energy sources rather than starch and sugar makes this a softer, more forgiving feed. Backward foals can cope with it without compromising an immature skeleton, and mares that tend to carry too much condition during gestation respond well to being maintained on it. The higher fibre level suits larger mares that get heavy in pregnancy. Formulated with Stamm 30® for nutrient continuity, with BMC® buffered mineral complex for gastric and bone support, live yeast for hindgut function, and natural vitamin E and vitamin C for antioxidant support.

Suitable For

• Foals, as a creep feed.
• Weanlings and yearlings, through to two and three year olds.
• Backward or underdeveloped foals.
• Larger broodmares prone to carrying excess weight in gestation.
• Lactating mares requiring extra nutrient support.

Feeding

• Introduce gradually over 7–10 days.
• Feed to a growth curve rather than to appetite, monitoring condition regularly.
• Can be fed as the sole concentrate for young horses up to three years old.
• Feed alongside good quality forage, with free access to clean, fresh water.

• Composition: wheatfeed, oats (finely ground), soya hulls, oatfeed, soya bean meal, sunflower extract, molasses, soya oil, full fat linseed, barley, maerl (calcareous marine algae), dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, sodium chloride, vitamins and minerals. 20kg.
• Crude protein 14.0%. Crude oil 6.5%. Crude fibre 14.0%. Starch 18.5%. Digestible energy 12.3 MJ/kg.
• Per kg: calcium 1.2%, phosphorus 0.6%, selenium 0.6mg, vitamin A 14,000iu, vitamin D3 1,400iu, vitamin E 350iu, vitamin C 200mg.

Care & Caution

• Overfeeding youngstock risks developmental orthopaedic disease. Feed to a growth curve and take nutritional advice if growth is uneven.

• This is the winter formula. The summer formula is a separate product and the two are not interchangeable mid-season without a gradual changeover.
