Twelve litres is the largest Cantina, and Scruffs rate it at up to 6kg of dry food. The canister stands 37cm tall on a 28 x 32cm footprint, which is a real piece of kitchen furniture rather than something to be hidden in a cupboard — hence the powder-coated finish and the light grey colour.

The lid is shaped to form a seal against the body, which is the part that actually matters: kibble goes stale through oxidation and picks up moisture from a kitchen, and a loose-lidded bin does neither job. A scoop is supplied with this size.

How to Use

• Decant dry food straight from the bag and press the lid down to seat the seal.
• Keep the scoop inside the canister and use it dry.
• Empty the canister completely before refilling rather than topping up over old food.
• Hand wash only, with warm water and a mild detergent. Dry thoroughly before refilling — this is not dishwasher safe.
