Four litres takes roughly a 2kg bag of kibble, which is the size most cat owners and small dog owners actually buy. The canister is 18 x 22cm on the base and 25cm tall — small enough to stand on a worktop without dominating it, and a scoop is included.

It is the same construction as the larger Cantinas: coated steel with a lid shaped to seal against the rim. The seal is the working part. Decanting a 2kg bag into a sealed steel canister keeps the fat in the kibble from going rancid and stops the smell escaping into the kitchen.

How to Use

• Tip the bag straight in and press the lid home so the seal seats.
• Store the scoop inside and keep it dry.
• Finish and wash the canister between bags rather than adding new food on top of old.
• Hand wash only in warm soapy water and dry fully before refilling. Not dishwasher safe.
