Certified organic lucerne pressed into 6mm pellets, with no binders and nothing else declared. The 6mm size is the practical difference from Simple System's 12mm Lucie Nuts: a smaller pellet takes up water faster and breaks down more evenly, which matters when the whole point is to feed it soaked.

Lucerne is a deep-rooting legume, and that root depth is part of why it carries the mineral profile it does. The declared analysis runs 14–20% crude protein and 20–30% fibre against sugar under 7% and starch under 5%, with digestible energy at 10–11 MJ/kg — so it delivers protein and condition on fibre rather than on cereal starch.

Feeding

• Introduce gradually over a week, as with any new feed.
• Soak in 2 to 2.5 times their volume of water until free from lumps.
• Start at 100g per 100kg bodyweight daily, dry weight — 500g a day for a 500kg horse.
• Increase as required, up to a maximum of 5kg a day.
• A level Stubbs bowl scoop holds approximately 1.6kg dry weight.

Care & Caution

• Simple System state that any pelleted feed carries a risk of choke, and strongly recommend soaking pelleted feeds until free from lumps.
