Where the rest of the Field & Trial dry range drops wheat, this recipe drops grain altogether. Sweet potato chips at 25% and potato flake carry the carbohydrate, with poultry meat meal — declared as a minimum 95% chicken — at 30%.

The 2.5kg bag is the size to try a grain-free diet on one dog before committing to a sack, and the right size for a small dog that would take months to get through 15kg.

Feeding

• Feed dry, or moisten a few minutes before serving with a little tepid water.
