A wood pellet bedding made from 100% virgin UK softwood, compressed using only the natural lignin in the wood as a binder — nothing is added to hold the pellet together. On contact with moisture the pellets expand and break down into a soft, fluffy bed, absorbing up to three times their own weight.

That absorbency is what makes pellets economical: far less material is needed than shavings or straw to keep a bed dry, and the wet is locked into the base layer along with the odour. They break down quickly on the muck heap into nutrient-rich compost, which reduces both the volume and the cost of disposal.
