SPILLERS Apple Horse Treats – 1kg

A 1kg bag of bite-sized apple treats built on grass nuts and wheat with dried apple through them. The single bag is the one to buy if you want treats in a pocket rather than a training programme — it lives in a jacket, goes out to the field, and gets used up before it goes stale.

Spillers class these as a complementary feed rather than confectionery, to be fed with compound feed and forage up to a ceiling of 200g a day. That ceiling matters: treats are not balanced, and a horse fed a fistful at a time is having an unbalanced part of its ration.

Feeding
