Supreme Science Selective House Rabbit Food – 1.5kg

A rabbit living indoors covers a fraction of the ground an outdoor one does, and the weight goes on accordingly. Supreme's answer is to push the fibre up to 22% — the highest in the Selective rabbit range — so the rabbit eats bulk rather than calories.

The base is Timothy hay, dried grass and dried thyme rather than alfalfa, which is the right way round for an adult: alfalfa carries more calcium and belongs in a growing rabbit's diet. Yucca extract is in there for litter tray smell, which is a genuinely useful thing in a room you sit in.

Performance & Benefits
  • Crude fibre 22%, the highest figure in Supreme's Selective rabbit range.
  • Timothy hay leads the composition, with dried grass and dried thyme — an adult profile rather than a growth one.
  • Crude protein held at 14%, suited to a rabbit that is not burning much off.
  • Prebiotics (MOS) in the composition for gut health.
  • Yucca extract, included to help with litter tray odour indoors.
  • Single-component nuggets, so nothing can be picked out and left.
<>
Suitable For
  • Adult house rabbits and any rabbit living mainly indoors.
  • Rabbits that are gaining weight on an ordinary adult food.
  • Households where litter tray smell in a living room is a real consideration.
  • Rabbits over 20 weeks old. Growing rabbits and pregnant or lactating does need the higher protein and calcium of Supreme's Science Selective Junior Rabbit Food.
<>
Feeding
  • Supreme's rate: an average 2.5kg adult rabbit needs 60–70g a day of Selective House Rabbit.
  • Feed fresh vegetables alongside it, with good quality hay and clean drinking water always available.
  • Hay should still be the bulk of the diet; the nuggets are the concentrate, not the meal.
  • Change over from another food across about a week — a rabbit's gut reacts badly to a sudden switch.
  • Reseal the bag and keep it dry.
