Lime is the loudest of the four colours Woof Wear make this hat band in. On a flat grey afternoon it reads as light rather than as a colour, which is exactly the point. The band goes round the shell of the riding hat, putting fluorescent fabric and a reflective strip at the highest point of horse and rider — the first thing visible over a hedge.

One size, elasticated at the sides, with a strip of silicone on the inner face so it grips the shell instead of creeping up over the peak while you post. A reflective Woof Wear badge on the band gives a return from the side as well as head-on.

How to Use

• Stretch the band over the hat shell and settle it so the reflective strip runs round the widest part.
• Keep it clear of the harness, retention strap and any vents or fittings on the hat.
• Wipe clean only, with a damp cloth, then let it dry naturally.
• Check the elastic and the silicone grip before each ride.
