Woof Wear Reflective Club Brushing Boot Orange M
Woof Wear Reflective Club Boot – Hi Vis Orange, Medium
Medium is the size most riding horses take in front, and on Woof Wear's chart it covers a wide band: the front legs of horses from 14.2hh to 16.2hh, or the hind legs of large ponies from 13.2hh to 14.1hh. It is the size to buy if you own one horse of average build and want one set of boots that does most jobs.
What separates this from the plain Club Boot is the strapping. The straps are fluorescent hi vis orange with reflective banding, so they show in flat daylight and light up under headlights. The protective part is unchanged — a 7mm neoprene base with a padded PU strike pad sitting over the inside of the fetlock and lower cannon, where the opposite hoof lands when a horse brushes. Supplied as a pair.
<>Performance & Benefits
- The broadest fitting in the range — fronts on a 14.2–16.2hh horse, or hinds on a 13.2–14.1hh pony.
- Fluorescent orange straps with reflective banding, working by day and by headlight.
- Padded PU strike pad over the inside face, which is where brushing damage occurs.
- 7mm neoprene base, identical to the standard Club Boot.
- Secure-Grip hook and loop straps that keep gripping after repeated washing.
- Machine washable at 30°C.
Suitable For
- Front legs on horses of 14.2–16.2hh.
- Hind legs on large ponies of 13.2–14.1hh.
- Road hacking and any exercise in poor light.
- Schooling, lungeing and turnout for a horse that brushes.
- A round-legged cob of 14.2–15.1hh may be better in the Medium Extra Wide, which Woof Wear list for exactly that shape.
- Not a tendon boot. For jumping protection to the back of the tendon, an open-fronted tendon boot is the correct choice.
How to Use
- Fit with the strike pad against the inside of the leg, straps fastening front to back and outwards.
- Position the pad over the fetlock and lower cannon, with the top edge clear of the knee or hock.
- Fasten so the boot cannot be turned by hand, but so a finger will still slide under the top.
- Close all straps before washing. Machine wash at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle spin with non-biological detergent.
- Do not tumble dry and do not leave in strong sunlight.

Care & Caution
- Grit working in under the neoprene is the usual cause of rubs. Empty the boots out and run a hand down the leg every time they come off.
- Neoprene traps heat, so use them for work and turnout rather than leaving them on continuously.
- Reflectivity depends on a clean surface — a muddy boot reflects nothing, and hi vis is one layer of visibility, not a substitute for lights.
