Woof Wear Stealth Dressage Whip – Chocolate
Chocolate is the brown Stealth, and the reason to buy it is tack. Against a brown saddle and a brown bridle a black whip always looks like an afterthought; this one does not. The grip is faux leather twisted with black crystals.
It behaves like the rest of the Stealth range: flexible fibreglass shaft, quiet balance, 10cm flick, and enough length that the whip does the work instead of your hand. Woof Wear list the range at 100cm, 110cm and 120cm.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Faux leather grip twisted with black crystals — decorative but deliberately understated.
- Flexible fibreglass shaft, balanced so the whip sits quietly in the hand instead of nodding at every stride.
- Finished with a 10cm flick, which gives a light and clearly defined aid rather than a broad slap.
- Long enough to reach behind your leg without moving your hand off the rein — the reason a dressage whip exists.
- Slim grip diameter, easy to roll between the fingers when you swap hands at a change of rein.
- Branded end cap keeps the grip in place at the butt.
Suitable For
- Flatwork and dressage schooling at home, and lessons.
- Riders who need to back up a leg aid without shortening or dropping a rein.
- Anyone matching whip, browband and spurs into one turnout.
- Smaller hands, given the slim grip.
- Not a jumping whip — it is far too long to use one-handed over a fence. For showjumping choose the Woof Wear Stealth Jump Bat at 60cm, the Jump Bat Full Grip at 65cm, or the Junior Jump Bat at 50cm for a child.
- Not a hacking whip either. For roads and general riding the Woof Wear Gel Fusion Riding Whip at 60cm, or the reflective Hi Vis Riding Whip, are easier to carry.
How to Use
- Carry it in the inside hand, running down across your thigh so the flick sits just behind your leg.
- Ask with the leg, then confirm with a single light touch of the flick behind the leg. Release and reward as soon as the horse answers.
- Change hands over the withers at each change of rein rather than reaching across the neck.
- Woof Wear's care instruction is wipe clean only. Wipe the shaft with a damp cloth and dry it; keep water out of the crystal grip.
- Hang it up or lay it flat. Standing it on the flick sets a permanent bend in the tip.
