Woof Wear Summer Yard Glove – Navy, Large

Large is the third of Woof Wear's four sizes and the useful one for a broad palm or long fingers, where a Medium goes tight across the knuckles and starts to peel at the fingertips within a fortnight. The knitted polyester liner stretches, but it is the fit through the hand rather than the length that decides this one.

The working surface is a palm and finger dip in latex with a nitrile layer over it, which is the combination that keeps hold of a wet rope. Leaving the back of the hand undipped is deliberate: it is the vent that stops your hand cooking on a July afternoon.

How to Use

• Pull on by the cuff rather than dragging on a fingertip, which is where the liner splits first.
• Wipe clean only. Woof Wear do not list a wash temperature for this glove, and soaking a dipped palm shortens its life.
• Dry at room temperature, off the radiator and out of direct sun — heat hardens the latex.
• Retire the pair once the palm coating starts to craze or peel; a smooth patch on the palm is a grip failure waiting to happen.
